Dr. Raquel Candal is a board-certified physician with specialized training in foregut and bariatric surgery. She earned her medical degree from LSU Health Shreveport in Shreveport, Louisiana, where she also completed her residency training.
Following residency, Dr. Candal completed a fellowship in Foregut & Bariatric Surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Her advanced fellowship training provided specialized expertise in the surgical treatment of conditions affecting the upper digestive system, as well as bariatric surgery and weight management.
